Our newest corporate member company aims to be the preferred provider of marine and offshore services. This includes a host of capabilities: ship and rig repairs, fabrication, industrial expansion and machining services.
Founded in 1948, GC spent nearly 30 years developing its rep as a successful pipe fabrication company installing piping on marine vessels. In 1979, it was acquired by the Gulf Copper Group becoming a full service marine repair company. Expansion included a machining division, structural fabrication and dockside services.
Gulf Copper now has five facilities along the U.S Gulf Coast and serves several industries: commercial marine, offshore, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, oil and gas, petrochemical, and inland marine transportation.
Employee skill sets have expanded over the years, too. Talented welders, fitters, machinists, electricians, and NDT technicians all call Gulf Copper home. And, employees call Gulf Copper theirs. Just consider the company motto:
"Our employees take pride in their work and invest in their future,” says president and CEO, Steve Hale. Company benefits include an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).
“Our employee are encouraged to become an integral part of a motivated team with common goals and objectives with a strong commitment to safety, quality, integrity and environment.”
Steve Hale, President/CEO Gulf Copper
