Energy Progress and Innovation Conference
The Energy Generation Conference (EPIC) originated in 1978 as a Power Plant Operations Conference held in conjunction with the ND Rural Electric Cooperatives’ Annual Statewide Apprenticeship Training & Safety Conference. A small group of power plant personnel planned the agenda with sessions presented by employees from local power plants and suppliers of power plant products and services.
The EPIC planning committee is inviting you to participate in the 2021 event. Due to unforseen circumstances and the current COVID-19 Pandemic, EPIC is moving to a virtual format for 2021. The decision to move forward was difficult, but for the safety and health of our vendors, participants, committee members and speakers, it was the wisest path to take, while still celebrating our 42nd year.
The EPIC planning committee still intends to have a great event January 26-27, 2021. Plans are in the works for pre-conference sessions in operations, electrical, professional development and more. We are also working on a day of general sessions that will be streamed live for our attendees from across the United States. Although the format is different this year, one benefit for many is that you don’t have to worry about the “wonderful” North Dakota weather in January. With out threat of polar vortex and blizzards, it will be an opportunity to learn and engage in much better weather (we hope).
Thank you for your interest in the 2021 show. We aim to make it EPIC, and hope you can join.
