Fewer "Pink" Jobs - Says Global Energy Study

NES Global Talent is sharing their recent Women in Energy Global Study. The study highlights what workplace challenges females face in energy and engineering careers in 2018. NES and research partner, Energy Jobline, collected and analyzed the views from 1,200 female professionals who are working in the energy sector.

Key stats from the study

  • Engineering is the most common job type for women in energy.
  • Only one-fifth claim to specialize in the commonly named pink jobs, such as administration.
  • 63% of women in energy are the primary wage earners in their household.

When asked, survey respondents cite two priorities:

  • More flexible working.
  • Better communication.
