Ovintiv is seeking an Air Compliance Specialist to work on the US Air Quality team in the U.S. Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Group, based in Denver, CO. This position will assist with air quality efforts including air quality permitting and compliance, field data gathering, developing and supporting air quality best management practices, and implementation of new air quality regulations.

Responsible for air quality permitting, compliance, and reporting activities.Implement and maintain air programs to comply with federal, state, local, or tribal requirements.Manage greenhouse gas (GHG) and NSPS compliance reporting activities.Coordinate compliance programs such as engine stack testing and LDAR IR camera inspections.Facilitate environmental compliance database business process development, data quality improvements, and standardization (ACTS experience preferred).Provide air technical support to applicable Ovintiv personnel on new and existing facilities.Evaluate air regulation requirements, legislative proposals, and emerging issues to effectively consult with and advise applicable Ovintiv personnel.Support organization in the implementation of emission reduction efforts.Participate in meetings with regulators and industry groups.Facilitate training sessions on air quality topics.Assist with the development of air quality best management practices.
Seven or more years environmental experience with an emphasis on air quality in the Oil and Gas industry.Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemical engineering or similar required.Demonstrated knowledge of federal air quality programs applicable to the natural gas industry; specific experience with federal MACT, NSPS, Title V and Mandatory Reporting Rule for Greenhouse gasses (Subpart W and NSPS OOOO/a experience preferred).Demonstrated knowledge of NSR, PSD, and Title V permitting programs, and air emissions inventory management are required.Demonstrated knowledge of engineering simulation software to model and estimate emissions such as Promax, E&P Tanks, and Tanks 4.0, Aspen HYSYS, and TOXCHEM.Experience with an environmental database (ACTS experience preferred).Awareness of air dispersion modeling software such as SCREEN3 and AERMOD.Proven strong written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.Excellent Microsoft office skills.Must be willing to travel to field locations.Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv’s reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $128,000 – $157,000 USD
Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
