“Directs budgeting, controls, and other financial matters, pulling together the output and preparing overviews for top leadership. Oversees the compilation of data based on statistical studies and analysis of past and current years to prepare company budget and to justify funds requested.

Reviews annual and intermediate company budget periodically to analyze trends affecting company budget needs; develops the strategy, and provides leadership in the overarching design, development, and implementation of standardized business planning, tracking, and reporting.

Also, provides analysis of the initiatives in the business plan to the budget and spend plan for reporting to the executive leadership periodically on overall performance of against budget. Analyze and direct the development of cost trends based upon the analysis of labor productivity, the effect of economic conditions on project materials and labor costs.

Directs the overall development, coordination and technical direction of budgeting, financial management at the company level, and ensures consistency with Calpine policy.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manages multiple department functions with an operational focus and/or has expert knowledge in key functional area.
• May oversee activities of broad functional area through first level management and professionals, including full human resources, cost and budgetary accountability.
• Seasoned, experience innovate professional
• Use advanced knowledge of own function and broad knowledge of other functions
• Decisions typically related to implementation of department strategy, intradepartmental coordination, and business outcomes.
• Serves as senior advisor to management; influences highly complex decisions regarding the direction or operation of department.
• Results have significant impact on costs and achievement of department objectives.
• Makes decisions for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and/or initiatives involving multiple functional areas.
• Works on significant and unique issues and projects.
• Regularly uses independent judgment in the evaluation of intangibles or situations with minimal precedent or standards available for reference. Selects methods, techniques, analytical approach and evaluation criteria.
• Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge of multiple facets to solve complex problems which may have long-term impact on the department.
• May manages multiple functions within a department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and employees and/or
• May act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or highly complex special assignments and set technical direction for a department
• May have responsibility for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions or provide key input on such decisions.”


“• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, prefer Master’s Degree.
• Previous project management experience.
• Typically requires minimum of 15+ years’ experience in accounting and/or finance, or related.
