This position will be part of the Global Compensation, Benefits, and HR Systems Team. The incumbent will support the global benefits function ensuring we are able to attract, engage, and retain diverse talent across all locations. This is a working manager position providing customer support to the associates regarding their questions about benefits and leaves. The Global Benefits Manager position maintains the benefit setup in Oracle and ensures ongoing benefit-related data integrity. This position requires outstanding business acumen, customer service, and a sound understanding of benefits, in addition to the ability to work confidently with highly sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities of the Benefit Manager:

Design global benefit programs, including health, retirement, pension, and other global benefits based on country. Define competitive and compliant benefits offerings across the globe wherever TPI associates live and work. Manages and administers associate benefits and wellness programs to include plan negotiations, renewal, changes, legal compliance, associate leaves, open enrollment, and roll out/communication of benefits. Analyzes new and existing programs to recommend solutions and ensure benefits provide value, with a focus on team member engagement, labor market attraction and retention. Ensures compliance with provisions of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, etc. Prepares reports and applications required by law to be filed with various agencies. Reviews and analyzes changes to laws pertaining to benefits. Manage our global vendor relationships and performance. Partners with benefits consultant/broker to assess and analyze current trends and financial performance of our company benefit and wellness plans; provides regular reporting and strategic recommendations based on company and team member requirements and fiscal drivers. Relay emerging benefits trends and make recommendations to improve and maintain a competitive benefits portfolio. Manages a competitive 401(k) plan, including Plan Administrator duties, as well as all ongoing compliance, reporting and filing requirements. Maintains enrollment data and ensure that new enrollment, life events, associate leaves and terminations are accurately and efficiently reported. Responsible for day-to-day administrative functions related to benefit plans, including handling phone and email inquiries, weekly payroll file processing, benefit billing, file feeds, account reconciliations, benefit deduction research and adjustments. Maintains Oracle benefit table set-up for all benefit related programs to ensure ongoing integrity and accuracy of computerized integrated personnel system. Initiates, maintains, and updates all benefit records and files to ensure ongoing accuracy and completeness in accordance with policy and requirements. Ensures that all electronic files are sent to vendors with accurate data and in a timely manner. Prepares benefits information and statistical/census data and reports, using standard and/or ad hoc HRIS reporting. Assists in the review of all plan documentation, including original and amended texts, agreements, and policies for currency and completeness, to ensure compliance with all provisions of the plan. Oversees communication of introductions and/or modifications to benefit program offerings through use of a variety of associate communication strategies including, but not limited to brochures, benefit fairs, orientation, and open enrollment, to ensure effective and timely availability of information for successful associate awareness/understanding. Coordinates and presents benefit informational meetings and distributes proper documentation Oversees implementation of legally required communication including that required by healthcare reform Works regularly with associates to resolve complex, non-routine issues and answer benefit related questions, acts as liaison between vendors and associates. Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency while maximizing return on investment of technology and systems to support benefits delivery. Other duties as required.

Who we are looking for:

Demonstrated experience leading all aspects of benefits strategy, design, administration, and compliance for a global company. Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Medicare, USERRA, Social Security and DOL requirements. Customer service orientation and positive, helpful attitude are essential attributes. Ability to determine proper course of action to resolve escalated customer service issues. Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices. Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively, efficiently, and confidentially. Possess the maturity to handle sensitive information and make sound decisions. Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results. Exceptional consulting and partnering skills with cross functional HR teams, management, and associates. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills; strong attention to detail. Strong customer service organizational and project administration skills. Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. ORACLE HRM experience highly preferred. Manages fast-pace environment effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent education and/or relevant experience required. 7+ years of HR experience with 5+ years of experience focused on US and Global benefits design and management CBP or CEBS professional designation preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.
