The Ovintiv Permian Basin Measurement Team is seeking a Measurement Technician to be located out of the Midland office.

Responsibilities

Create and promote a safety-first culture and value within the field facility operators and contractors, and assure adherence to environmental criteria.Promote teamwork between the Measurement, Automation, and Production teams within the area.Perform scheduled gas meter calibrations, sampling, and proper uploading of data to measurement device.Perform maintenance and troubleshoot gas and liquid measurement devices and any required tasks to maintain accurate measurement.Conduct gas meter and LACT meter witnessing as needed.Installation, calibration, repair or replacement of electronic flow measurement devices, solar panels, battery banks, composite samplers, radio communications, automation equipment, and associated instrumentation and control devices.Accountable for the day-to-day maintenance of measurement and associated automation equipment for a production facility.Work with coworkers to develop and manage spare parts inventories.Lead Ovintiv’s EHS programs by example in demonstrating safe work practices, adhering to all forms and guidelines, and strictly following all applicable Federal, State, County and local laws, statues and standards. Attend safety meetings, safety stand downs, offered safety training and appropriate skills training and development classes. Attend Construction, and Design Review meetings to keep track of what new projects will be going on in your assigned county.Develop an annual high-performance contract that embeds these principles and practices into a yearly work plan as a high expectation of achievements.Create and maintain facility measurement site schematics.

Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in gas and/or oil measurement practices (gas flow measurement, LACT measurement and recordkeeping).Experience working with ROC 800, 107 and ABB TotalFlow’s.High School diploma or equivalent GED.Basic computer skills.Ability to implement repairs to basic field automation equipment (RTU’s, radio’s, multi-variable transmitters, wireless transmitters, motor valves, pressure transducers, temperature controls, turbine meters, etc.).This position requires a current/valid driver’s license.This is a safety sensitive position and is included in the DOT drug program.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to work weekends and be on call.Live or relocate to area within an acceptable response time for call outs.Willingness to cross train and work in a multiple discipline environment.Currently eligible or able to obtain clearance to work in the United States.
