PRODUCT MANAGER

THE POSITION  

This position will work cross-functionally to identify, scope, and drive strategic product priorities. You will use a deep knowledge of IT systems and business processes, along with strong relationship skills to manage and evolve our product suite. You will be responsible for scoping new products including creating business requirements, garnering cross-functional buy-in, and full productization to market for product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES   

Project Management

  • Manage through a stage gate process with stakeholders for product launch – plan the launch of new solar service plans and releases and manage the cross functional implementation of the plan.
  • Provide the “why” through communicating the business case cross-functionally
  • Grooming and Prioritization of strategic initiatives
  • Drive deadlines
  • Highly organized
  • Fully own the product lifecycle from conception to launch

Data-driven Decisions

  • Data-driven and results-oriented approach to product
  • Perform ongoing market and competitive research and analysis 
  • Establish KPIs for product launches and rollouts in alignment with product leads.
  • Provide product benchmarking against competitor offerings
  • Generate new ideas that grow market share; Define, scope, prioritize and manage product enhancements based on business and customer impact

Communication

  • Responsible for communicating requirements for new products throughout the business
  • Own and manage approval process through cross-functional teams: provide the data required for stakeholder sign-off to keep projects on deadline
  • Develop and manage regular checkpoint meeting schedules/formats
  • Draft and distribute weekly product updates for both status and product attributes
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Own the communication strategy for all product launches and feature enhancements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS   

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years of proven experience in product development / management / marketing.
  • Highly collaborative cross-functionally and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment 
  • Is organized, can manage and prioritize multiple deliverables and work well under deadlines.
  • Aptitude to effectively communicate with peers, senior management and partners.
  • Highly collaborative cross-functionally and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment 
  • Spanish a plus
