The Texas Operations team is seeking an Automation Technician to be located in Midland, TX. The primary work consists of maintaining and servicing all automated equipment, including RTU, POC’s, Radios, MOXA and OleumTech equipment.
Field Automation duties, including RTU Installation (ROC and ABB), Configuration, Troubleshooting and repair.Lead by example and train operators in the areas of EHS, maintenance, and well optimization.Maintain all required records.Complete basic equipment maintenance and repair.Communicate clearly with leadership and engineering daily, on high priority projects.Ensure that regulatory and environmental compliances are upheld.Ability to be available for an on-call schedule. Weekends and holidays included.
High school diploma or equivalent. Five or more years of experience in automation/ electric installation and maintenance automated gas well operation.ROC 800, 107 and ABB RMC experience.OleumTech and MOXA equipment experience.ABB Total Flow experience.Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.Familiarity with separator, well and facility operation and maintenance.Strong ability to troubleshoot and implement repairs to field automation equipment (RTU’s, radio’s, multi-variable transmitters, motor valves, tank gauging systems, pressure transducers, and temperature controls).Duties require an ability to quickly and thoroughly learn, install and maintain new devices and systems without outside assistance.Familiarity with well site automation and RTU’s.Basic computer experience required. Advanced computer skills preferred.Currently eligible to work in the United States.A good safety record as this is a safety sensitive position.
