New in 2024:
  • Public Voting on all non-individual awards.   VOTE HERE.                                          This year we will be opening specific categories for Public Voting from 9 am on Monday, August 12th - midnight on Friday, August 23rd.   The votes will have a small weighting on the overall scoring methodology; however, we will also announce the People's Choice for each category at the Award Ceremony on October 30th at the House of Blues.
  • It's free to nominate, and fees are assessed only upon your submission of the application online.
  • The GRIT Awards ceremony will be held at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas
  • Winners in each category will be limited to only 1 winner for each company group within a category (based on revenues, small medium and large)
  • This year we'll have public judging a part of the Best Startup and Best Energy Workplaces categories.

It's free to make as many nominations as you'd like.  You only submit a fee upon applying.  Can I get a copy of the registration form and/or award questions in advance?

This year there is a nominal cost for the submission of awards to offset the cost of our new easy-to-use software and ensure high-quality applications.  Fees are waived for premium sponsors.

Are Nominations free?
Yes, nominations are free. Submissions will have the fee applied. You will have the choice when nominating someone if you choose to pay the fee for them at that time, or the fee can be paid upon submission. The fee is not required to be paid at nomination.
Did you have to be a nominator or nominee to attend the October event?
No, you do not have to be a nominator, nominee or past winner to attend. While some industry events require that you be involved in some way, GRIT awards are open to everyone. Come for the show, come for the networking opportunities, come to support your friends and colleagues! We encourage a diverse crowd to attend this event and we can't wait to "rock out" with you at the House of Blues.
Are there sponsorship opportunities?
Yes. You can sponsor anything from small items to an award category to tables, the stage, VIP party, and more.  GRIT will offer premier tables and individual seating. If you want to sponsor, please contact us here with your request and let us know what you're looking for!  We do expect availability to sell out.
Can you clarify the difference between application vs. nomination?
Sure! Nomination is simply the opportunity to apply for an award. Once the nomination occurs (free of charge) the completion of the application can take place. When the application and supporting documentation is completed it can be "submitted" and the nominal application fee can be paid if not already set-up during nomination process. Remember, submitted applications can be edited after the fact prior to midnight on July 12, 2024.
How many names can be submitted on a Team Award notification?
Please provide a spreadsheet as a supporting document with First Name, Last Name, Title, Email and Cell Phone.
Can submission fees be paid by the person nominating someone?
Yes, when you nominate the individual, team or company, you can choose to pay the fee at the time of nomination.
Does someone need to be nominated before they apply?
Yes, you can nominate someone. You may also nominate yourself via the portal. Choose the applications you want to select, enter the nominee information and then that begins the process by which you can login to the portal and create your applications.
Can a company submit applications on behalf of a nominee or does it need to be done personally?
Yes. You do not have to be the applicant to create an application. The application "preparer" can complete the initial registration and application information but it is vital we have the correct applicant info directly in the portal (name, cell phone, address, etc). This provides clarity on who is applying and confirms data so we can verify information in advance of judging.
Are only women considered for awards?
No, our awards are open to all.  ALLY Energy believes in promoting inclusion as showcased by having awards that include oil, gas, utility and climate industries. The  industry and the value chain is large and wide so we take great strides to ensure that we go large and wide for our applicants.
